Anh Duong reclines in the painting studio of her East Hampton, New York, house, a onetime fisherman’s cottage that she renovated with architect Daniel Romualdez; the self-portrait, titled The Urgency of the Worst, was included in her show at Sonnabend Gallery last fall. The painter and sculptor channels the artistic legacy of Long Island’s East End at her home and studio.
